FALL 2010 EVENTS

DECEMBER

Milan Community Christmas Party
Sunday, December 5

H.A.L.O. is getting ready to put on one of the biggest events we’ve ever done. We’re hosting a Christmas party for the Milan, Mo. Latino community. We’re planning on having:

  • Food (approximately 400 people)
  • Toys for kids (approximately 200 kids)
  • Speakers addressing the DREAM Act, post-highschool educational opportunities, and education about human trafficking
  • Santa for the kids
  • Other Christmas festivities (piñatas, games for the kids, etc.)

Contact us if you would like to know how you can help! We are excited about bringing this event to this small, remote community.

NOVEMBER

Toy Drive for Milan

H.A.L.O. is having a toy drive during the month of November for kids in Milan, Mo., a nearby community with a large Hispanic population. Please donate any new toys for children up to the age of 14! To make it easy, we’ve set up convenient drop boxes:

November 1 to November 30 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m in the SUB.
November 15 to 19 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m in Pickler Memorial Library.

All donations will be given to kids at our annual Milan Christmas party, which will tentatively take place on December 5. Donate to support the Hispanic community!
